WoW Area
There are 4 different Continents in World of Warcraft.
1. The Eastern Kingdoms is a large continent, also known as group of continents in WoW, which was formed from Azeroth’s and the Great Sundering. The Eastern Kingdoms is on the east of the Great Sea and on the west of the Forbidding Sea.
The Eastern Kingdoms include the three continents of Lordaeron, Khaz Modan, Azeroth. The Eastern Kimgdoms are the homes of the undead, dwarves, gnomes, blood elves, humans, and few remaining high elves.
Quel’Thalas is known as the 4th continent in some maps. Most of the time, it appears that the Eastern Kingdoms is only divided into only three continents.
2. Kalimdor is located to the west of the Eastern Kingdoms and southwest of Northrend. The Great Sea lies in between the wow continents. Kalimdor is home to the night elves, orcs, tauren, trolls, and draenei. Other races present include the ogres, centaur, naga, demons, and other, more minor, races.
Kalimdor can be further divided into three major regions. (North Kalimdor, Central Kalimdor, and South Kalimdor) The World of Warcraft Manual divides it into the Northern Kalimdor and Southern Kalimdor regions.
Kalimdor was the name of the world’s singular landmass which was split into the three main continents.
3. The Outlands which came with the 1st Addon “Burning Crusades, Outlands is the name given to the shattered floating remnants of the red world Draenor in World of Warcraft, the homeworld of the orcs and refuge of the draenei. Draenor was once a massive planet.
4. The Northrend which came with the 2nd Addon “Wrath of the Lich King”. Northrend is the northern, icy continent of the world of Azeroth, and the home of the evil Scourge and Icecrown Citadel the seat of the Lich King.
